End of the Year Reflections
This year, I'm finally living like an artist. Prioritizing my art journey, creating zines and organizing a charity zine, becoming an active participant in the art community online and offline- I've done so much and met so many incredible people that I can't help but feel lucky.
Art is what continues to inspire me to keep going every day. Feeling the encouragement from folks online has been incredible. Not only that but focusing on art and community has helped me remain hopeful in the face of adversity.
This year is also when I first launched my Neocities and it has been such a freeing experience! Coding is intimidating, but I learned the barest minimum of HTML to create a space that is fully my own and I'm really proud of that! If you're here reading this, thanks for taking part.
Next year I will continue to work on Megazumi World and create cohesive pages with more information about my virtual world. (More on this later!)
For the fun of it, here are some of the "stats" for everything I worked on this year:
- ~18 Drawings
- 27 Art Fight Attacks
- 20 Zines
- 17 Blog Posts
- 2 Published Works
- Tabled at 2 Events
- 1 Week Long Advent Calendar
- 1 Charity Zine, 1 Bonus Zine and $614 raised for Charity
- And countless new Friends

And to end things off I'd like to set a few goals for the new year! I've never really done this before, but it makes sense to me this time around.
- Finish the Megazumi World Visual Novel demo
- Update the website with details on every Megazumi Pet
- Create more zines (or at least, bigger ones!)
- Draw more full illustrations
- Play more indie games
- Read more books (I started reading again this year and I'm loving it!)
That's everything! Please have a safe new year and let's tackle the future together.
